Coolart Road Pinot Noir 2015

TASTING NOTES
The cool climate of the Mornington Peninsula is now internationally lauded for producing much of Australia’s finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. 10X wines are sourced from several vineyards on the Mornington Peninsula and are therefore a regional expression of each variety. The location of this vineyard – at the warmer, lower northern end of the Peninsula, gives this a very different personality than the other single vineyard Pinots, the style juicier and immediately accessible. From the first whiff, this sets an easy red fruit tone, with kirsch liqueur and raspberry. It’s open and glycerol-rich, the gentle mouth-filling warmth spreading out into a flattering flow of languid fruit, with the finish all seductive grape sweetness and light tannins.

TASTING NOTES
The Cederberg style Chenin Blanc offers beautiful layers of melon, grapefruit and fleshy white pear. Five months lees contact ensured a creamy mouthfeel on the palate with a lively, crisp acidity to finish. Truly unique, this wine will be well suited to creamy dishes as well as light summer lunches.
